Continuous High Precision Fluid Blending Equipment for two or more streams of liquid. Centec have decades of experience in the design and manufacture of accurate product monitoring sensors to provide precise control of fluid blending systems. In soft drinks and beverage manufacture, processes often produce concentrated syrups or a high gravity base which is diluted and mixed with other ingredients just before carbonation and filling. Centec systems allow users to store and optimise a small number of base ingredients which can be accurately and continuously proportioned to produce an large number of final products without the need for any finished product storage prior to bottling. A key to the performance of these systems is Centec’s unique ability to accurately monitor and control product characteristics such as density, concentration, alcohol content, etc with incredible precision. CPS - Continuous Premix Systems: Principle: Each incoming ingredient stream is carefully and continuously checked with high precision sensors. The data is fed to a Centec Modular Concentration Monitor. The ingredients are then blended according to the exact proportions specified. The finished product can then be rechecked for density, concentration, etc and as a feed back to the control system followed by which carbonation gases such as CO2 can be injected prior to bottling. These systems are custom made and often used in carbonated soft drinks production. Projects typically include a Centec water deaeration unit (DGS or DeGaS), which ensures a low oxygen content for maximum product shelf life and effective carbonation, for a consistently superb product. Output Capacity: 1 - 200 m3/h HGB - High Gravity Blending Systems: Principle: Some beers and other beverages are fermented as high gravity (high alcohol) products which need to be accurately blended with liquor (high quality deaerated water) to achieve the required alcohol content. To avoid the need for batch mixing tanks, continuous high accuracy HGB blending systems are a very effective solution; other minor ingredients can be added at the same time if required. It is common for carbonation and even nitrogenation to be carried out after blending (see Centec CDS and NDS systems). Centec have particular expertise in High Gravity Blending , Carbonation and Water Deaeration Systems. Output Capacity: 1 - 200 m3/h (10 - 2000 hl/h) Temperature: -2 to +20°C (CIP up to 125°C) MSB - Multi-Stream Blending: Principle: Centec’s MSB is specifically designed for soft drinks production where several ‘streams’ of concentrated syrups, liquid sugar, fruit favours, water and other ingredients are blending together. Accurate proportioning, rapid change-over and fast cleaning are all essential attributes incorporated into an MSB unit. A consistently high quality of water is very important for these systems, especially for international brands. Centec provide all the necessary expertise and equipment which are critical for achieving perfect results everytime. Output Capacity: 10 - 200 m3/h Temperature: 2 to 85°C (CIP up to 125°C) Dose range: 0-65° Brix +/- 0.025° ADoS - Multi Ingredient Mixing System: Principle: Centec ADoS systems can be used in production of liquid food, cosmetics, personal care, inks and chemical products. The ADoS additive systems is used to continuously and accurately blend various different fluids from low viscosity solvents, water, colours, flavours, flammable essences to through high viscosity polymers, detergent bases and other complex non-Newtonian media. This may involve the preparation of premixed powders such as starches or carbomers, or oil phase and water phase cosmetics products prior to emulsification. These systems are designed and constructed to meet the specific needs of each customer. For exceptional performance ADoS uses Centec’s high accuracy concentration and density monitoring devices, sensors and signal analysis technology. Output Capacity: 1 - 200 m3/h Temperature: 2 to 125°C Pressure: up to 20 bar g HDS - Automated Yeast Dosing Equipment:
Principle: Centec’s HDS yeast pitching systems automatically and homogeneously mix yeast in a wort stream at the correct concentration. The systems use the relationship between turbidity and yeast cell population to produce a correlation curve to control the dose rate. Initial turbidity sensors monitor the incoming wort, flow meters measure the wort and the yeast. Yeast is then dosed into the wort stream through a special nozzle, after which gentle mixing takes place in a pump or static mixer. Post-mix sensors recheck the flow rate and the turbidity, the yeast dosing rate is controlled and adjusted accordingly. Accurate and continuous monitoring of both the turbidity and the flow rates ensures precise control is achieved with a high level of security. A Centec sterile oxygen wort aerator and a Centec Oxytrans oxygen sensor can be added for optimum fermentation results.
Capacity: 1 to 300 m3/h (10 to 3000 hl/h), custom capacities on request Control range: 0 – 100 Mio / cm³ Operating temp.: CIP up to 95°C EMTEC - Precision Oil Emulsion Mixing Technology: Principle: EMTEC is specifically designed to precisely blend various lubricating oils, water and other constituents to form an emulsion for use in the metal processing industries. Applications include rolling mills for aluminium, steel and other sheet materials, machine tools and industrial duties where reliable cooling and lubrication are essential. The EMTEC systems use high accuracy Centec RHOTEC density sensors which ensure the exact ratio of ingredients is continuously maintained. Where the ingredient ratios need to be adjusted to provide different emulsions, recipe control technology can be added to automatically make the adjustments. The systems iare fully automated and can include in-place cleaning if required. Other Centec technology can be added, including water deaeration equipment to minimise oxidisation and UV treatment to reduce microbial growth and contamination risk.
